14.2hh full up 14y.o. gorgeous bay pony.
Dutch x New Forest gelding, bred in the Netherlands.
Very sweet, much loved pony, sad sale but rider is at university.
Includes all tack and full wardrobe, rugs, boots etc.
Very striking, carries himself beautifully, naturally tracks up, beautiful floaty trot, he loves to hack out and everyone says he’d be wonderful at dressage although that’s not something he’s done much, happy to discuss.
Confident flying changes, walk to canter transitions and nice collection.
Absolutely loves a trip to the beach!
Amazing pedigree, closely related to top show jumpers and top dressage horses.
Has lived his life as a showjumper but now is looking for a less strenuous life of hacking, arena riding and trips to the beach or park. He will NOT sell as a jumper.
Wonderful on the ground and in stable, kind, polite, listens to you, likes people, no vices, voice trained, an absolute pleasure to spend time with.
Genuine, honest pony who wants to please, doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but is sensitive so needs a calm rider with confidence.
Hacks alone, in company, goes in front, behind, easy going with all other horses. My daughter usually hacks on the buckle. Great with dogs.
Good with traffic including tractors, big lorries, motorbikes, low planes etc.
Good cantering in open fields, never takes off or bucks.
Not a difficult ride but he can spook so no novices. All 4 feet stay on the ground when he spooks, he relocates a short distance but you can always stop him straight away (in a snaffle).
Doesn't kick, buck, rear, nap, bolt, crib, weave.
Good to rug, shoe (hot/cold), longe, clip (except head although it can be done). Sedate for dentist and X-ray.
Good to trailer alone or in company, small trailer or large horse box.
Up to date with shots, dentist etc.
Good feet, currently barefoot with front boots, but can have shoes front only or all 4 feet if needed.
Very clean and tidy in stable, always makes manure in one place so a dream to muck out!
Very good doer so you’ll need to watch his weight and grass intake, so new home must have field and stable to limit his grass.
King is a beautiful and special pony looking for a great home where he will be cherished, 5 star home is an absolute must!

Significant preference given to knowledgable horsey families with forever homes ie with own land and other ponies.
