Am looking for an experienced pony for my tall 9 year old son to hunt and do all pony club activities.

14.2 - 15hh

Must be sensible and capable of jumping hunt rails, walls and small hedges when ready!

We live on a farm in Gloucestershire and do lots of hacking and fun rides, so goes without saying must be sensible in open spaces. My son will have a lesson per week and do pony club activities, so would like something that has come from a similar type of home. He may also do the odd Sj comp and arena eventing, so must be capable of jumping a course of up to 85 cm.

My son is keen, but wouldn't like anything too sharp or too whizzy, so am looking for something that stays in a nice rhythm and has good brakes.

Knowledgable 5* home awaits, with four children who all ride.

Very much hoping to find Mr right soon, so that a partnership can be formed ready for fun summer pony club activities.

Barney is a really happy pony that loves to take part in all pony club type activities, he's the sort that's been there and done that so is very capable to take part in most things, he loves his jumping and really sorts himself out to a fence - he can go up or down a gear depending on how competitive the rider is - really does well around 70-80cm

Turns out on his own or happy to be with others and comes to the gate when called

Happy to be around farm machinery and great on the roads

Up to date with worming, teeth, physio & vaccinated - good with farrier and good to box travels alone or with another pony and stands on the box

Mainly hacked in the current home so low mileage but previous home was more competitive, recently been brought back into work and taken to various local shows with placings and Somerford for a spring camp

Will be great for a young competent rider moving to a second pony

Comes with bespoke saddle and bridle fitted to Barney which is just two years old and cost £2k plus wardrobe (included)
