Sarazen Bridge -

Proven flashy schoolmaster at 100 level has been ridden by a 14-16 yr old boy for the last two seasons.

Knows and loves his job. Very competitive on the flat, safe and sensible jumper. Not strong and light to ride throughout all 3 phases.

Has competed and been competitive at novice level BE.

Has clears at 1.05 and 1.10 BS and is flashy and smart enough to do pure dressage.

He has been a wonderful horse for his current jockey and has taken them through 90 and 100s and were ready to step up to novice this season. However school commitments have taken over hence a very sad sale.

Great to hack alone and in company, easy to have around at home.

No vices or vet history.

Fit and ready to go for the season.

LOAN OR LEASE pony wanted for keen 9 year old boy

Ref #: 337937

  • Schoolmaster / all-rounder
  • Pony club pony
  • 14.2hh
Am looking for an experienced pony for my 9 year old son who loves all pony club activities and trail hunting.

14.2 - 14.3 hh.

We live on a farm in Gloucestershire and do lots of hacking and fun rides, so goes without saying must be sensible in open spaces. My son will have a lesson every week and do pony club activities, so would like something that has come from a similar type of home. He would also like to do some pony club Sj competitions and arena eventing, so must be capable of jumping a course of up to 85 cm.

It is not essential that the pony hunts as we have the next step up for that; but looking for a pony club pony that he can ride for the summer and then pass onto younger brother in the autumn.

My son is keen, but wouldn't like anything too sharp or too whizzy, so am looking for something that has good brakes.

Knowledgable 5* home awaits and can provide lots of references.

Very much hoping to find Mr right soon, so that a partnership can be formed ready for fun summer pony club activities.

Look forward to hearing from you!

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Rusty has been with us for 3 years, however is now very sadly out of a job. He has been the perfect schoolmaster, having competed in both Pony Club & Riding Club teams, always being a favourite. He has qualified for numerous championships , including BS nationals, NSEA and much more, in addition to excelling in all other activities.

He has also been to multiple senior pony club camps and behaved impeccably throughout - both on the ground and whilst ridden, completing all pony club disciplines.

Rusty moves very well, having 3 correct and naturally rhythmical paces, always performing an exceptional test, something I feel he would excel at in the future. He has an exceptional jump with a super technique, however we feel he is happiest jumping up to 90cm.

Rusty hacks alone and in company, he frequently hacks through Bradgate park with numerous deer.

Very easy to do; box, bath, plait, clip, mane pull, farrier etc. Used to standing on the box all day at a show, as well as stay away shows etc

Rusty is a true all rounder, who will turn his hoof to anything. I would love to see him give as much fun to a competent teen or small adult.

Very sad decision so serious enquiries only please for a horse we think the world of. Home is more important than price.

Rusty does have loss of use, however this doesn’t affect him, or had any complications etc . We are very happy to openly discuss this to serious enquiries.

Thousands of videos and pictures available upon request.
To include full tack (fitted Kent and Masters saddle.)

Based near Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Low 4 figures.

We are looking for a first pony for my granddaughter to learn the ropes on and have lots of fun with. We are ideally looking for a pony that we can take hacking. We keep our ponies on a lovely quiet DIY yard with lots of off road hacking and all year turnout( our own field with our other 2 mares).

We are open to any age or type but the pony needs to be good on the ground and enjoy being fussed/ brushed. We don't mind a pony that needs a little extra care but strictly no laminitis or ponies that need to stand in all summer, we like ponies to be ponies and spend time out grazing during winter and summer.

Happy to be in regular contact with owner and for visits anytime.

Hero is an amazing safe schoolmaster jumping pony who is outgrown and now ready to happily take his next rider from cross poles to 1m. He knows his job inside out and loves it, having competed successfully up to 1.10. He is totally happy to come down to pop around a 70 and step up to the 90/100 without even batting an eyelid. He's sensible enough to be a first competition pony but equally forward and fun for a rider wanting a competitive one that knows its job.

To jump he is totally straight forward and adjustable to ride, will go off any stride, taking care of everything, always with his ears pricked... He has done tons of Pony Club events, SJ, XC, arena eventing, rallies, camps etc, hunted, and taken several children through the ranks. He is snaffle mouthed, not a kick along, but never spooks or messes around. Does not buck / rear / spin etc and is genuinely fun to ride.

He's great to hack alone or in company, hunts, bombproof with traffic / open spaces etc.

Good to do in all respects, shoe, load, travel, clip, turnout, catch. Lives in or out. No lumps or bumps, ailments, injuries or vices. Hero is fit and ready to go out and have fun. He has a LHC at 148, but is actually nearer the 15hh mark. Videos and photos etc available on request.
