U.S. Vaulters Selected For World Championships


The American Horse Shows Association Vaulting Committee has announced the names of vaulters who will compete at the 2000 World Championship in Mannheim, Germany from August 3-6.

Based on their outstanding performances and in accordance with the Selection Procedures set out by the AHSA Vaulting Committee, the following individuals and team were selected to represent the United States:

Individuals - Women

Kerith Lemon, Soquel, CA
Pam Geisler. DiamondBar, CA
Samantha Smith, Saratoga, CA (alternate).

Individuals - Men
Devon Maitozo, Agoura, CA
Erik Martonovich, Golden, CA
Brent Dahlgren, La Tuna Canyon. CA
Kenny Geisler, Diamond Bar, CA. (alternate).

The American Horse Shows Association, as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As the country’s largest multi-breed organization, the AHSA has over 70,000 members and recognizes more than 2,600 competitions nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate at these shows.
