TAMPA, FL – March 21, 2001
Three Time Olympian, LeslieHoward of Westport,
CT, was in the winner’s circle aboard the 11 year-old greystallion, Nick of
Diamonds at the 2001 Cosequin Winter Equestrian FestivalTampa Series. Howard
bested a field of67 starters after she turned in a first clear round and
advanced to thejump-off, clearing the seven obstacles in 34.306 seconds.
Second place went to 2000 Olympian, MargieEngle of Wellington, FL who turned
in double clear rounds and completed thejump-off course in 37.067 seconds
aboard the 9 year-old Dutch-bred, Ransom.
The Cosequin Winter Equestrian Festival continues untilApril 1, 2001. The
entire 2000 OlympicTeam, Margie Engle, Laura Kraut, Nona Garson, Lauren Hough
and Todd Minikus(Alternate) are competing tomorrow in the $25,000 WEF
