On August 3, 1999, 2 warmblood horses received knife incisions in their
legs as a "punishment" to their owner, Mary Rose, of Jamul, California. One
horse received a second punishment knife wound on September 11, 1999.
Detective K. E. Nelson of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department is presenting the case to Deputy District Attorney Cyndi Jo Means for prosecution as a felony animal cruelty against Wesley B. Cramer of Jamul, California. At a hearing in San Diego County Superior Court on Thursday, September 16, a judge will be asked to place a permanent restraining order against Wesley B. Cramer to protect Ms. Rose, her pets, livestock & property.
