The primary goal of the NQPA is to perpetuate and preserve the
"original" type of Quarter Horse, which was so prevalent from the
Colonial era until recent times. This was a horse which displayed great
strength and early speed, stamina and durability, as well as a kind
disposition and great "heart"; all this in a package which often stood
no greater than 58 inches at the withers. Our registry in for Quarter
Horses and Quarter-type ponies who are no taller than 58 inches. To
