Richard & Daisy Trayford have been been producing horses together for over two decades - in the UK & USA(Exmoor Eventing) and in Ireland where we live. We are now assisting international buyers during their search for quality Irish horses.

More & more buyers and sellers are doing business online - having us, based in the centre of Ireland, gives buyers a speedy and cost effective way of getting to a prospect quickly.

Once you have seen a prospect online or simply know of a sellers yard - just get in touch and we'll set up a trial. We charge a low, flat fee. We represent (YOU) ,the buyer who may not be able to try the horse themselves due to work/time/travel constraints.

You get a great service from us for a very modest fee - €200 covers us visiting a yard (no extra if we see multiple horses at one location!) - we take extensive video, try the horse(s) and complete a detailed, unbiased report, which is sent to you right away. We can also attend a future vetting if the client choses.

Daisy Trayford is a well known 4* competitor on the Eventing circuit in the UK, USA and Ireland. She takes pride in sourcing and producing Eventers and has had horses go on to 5* careers in the UK, USA and Ireland! We usually have 3-4 Eventer types on our farm that may also be off interest.

Richard has run Eventing Competitions to FEI 4* level in Ocala in the USA and they have hunted with over 50 hunts together - they even competed in the famous Golden Button race(UK) twice, together, and will be going again in 2024!
Together, they have helped clients in three continents find great horses.

Olivia is a super fun little allrounder. 

Nice level of basic schooling, sensible to hack both alone and in a large group of horses. She will happily lead or go behind. 

This spring she has been on some super fun sponsored rides, cross country schooling, riding holidays and down to the beach. She is very calm in wide open and busy spaces and totally unfazed with other horses wizzing around her.

Enjoys her jumping both in the school or cross country, very careful and genuine, will take her rider to a fence. 

Wouldn’t suit a total novice as she is still young and learning herself so would benefit from some further education from someone a little more experienced.

Nothing nasty or silly about her at all. No Vices. Had passed a 2 stage vetting in 2023.

Zoomy is our rising 8yo, 16hh, 3/4TBxID. 

Slowly produced, loads of hacking over open moors, rivers tracks etc done, and loves hunting. Shes very brave & throws her heart in to all she does. Shes an honest & clever mare, and enjoys working, especially things where she can use her brain like working out how to cross rough ground or cross country/team chasing. 

Will always give you a long one rather than chipping in at a fence, & will find an extra leg and get you out of trouble. 

Shes done loads of sj/xc training and some local competitions at 70/80, she’s keen to jump higher and has schooled over 100 with total ease, but we’ve been very careful not to do too much with her as she’s been very slow to fill out her frame, and we're not a competition home, we just hack, hunt and go to the odd competition for fun. 

She willing to travel and is fast over the ground, so makes really good time xc & team chasing, she doesn’t get worked up, has good breaks at all times and only needs a snaffle even XC or hunting. Well schooled and can do a basic dressage test quite well, although this is not really our area of interest as her riders. 

Lovely manners in the field and stable, loads in a lorry or trailer, easy to do anything with and no known faults. Her worst points would be she can pull faces and swish her tail at horses she doesn’t know if they get up behind her hunting etc, and she doesn’t love big/heavy traffic/motorbikes. She's not terrible with it, but will want a bit of reassurance sometime. 

She’s happy living in it out, not nappy, goes out alone or in company, will wait on the trailer while her buddy does his thing without fussing, she’s generally a lovely mare in every way. She would be really mega for a teenage coming of ponies, I don’t know who wouldn’t love her. 

She likes to get on with life & doing different things, so she would not enjoy going to a home where she will only ever go round and round in a sand school, I think she would love to be an eventer, hunter or or general all rounder, and while a novice could ride her perfectly well, I wouldn’t want that for her, so please don’t apply unless you are a happy, fun, forward rider looking to get out and about with a like minded horse. 

We are based on Exmoor, Devon / Somerset borders, but we can deliver anywhere in UK.

Biscuit has was slowly & correctly backed over last summer and he is now schooling and popping a fence. He is good to hack including in traffic and on country lanes, he has even been for a gallop on the moors. He is often used to nanny other horses with less confidence out hacking.

He has been to arena hires, clinics and arena eventing courses and is proving easy to do in all ways and not fizzy or sharp. He would make a perfect pony to home produce with his kind and easy going temperament. He has been taken slowly and correctly but he is now ready for someone to bring on further and put their stamp on.

Due to his super correct straight and floaty paces he could definitely go down the dressage route but equally, he has such scope over a fence with a powerful back end that he also has the potential to be a very talented small event horse. However, He has enough quality and movement to be a HOYS level Show Hunter Pony or Working Hunter. You don't often get this kind of talent is a small horse, any discipline could be yours.

His sire is the world renowned Belissimo M who had a phenomenal young horse career. As a 4 year old he was Bundeschampion and reserve Bundeschampion as a 6 year old. He went on to successfully compete up to Grand Prix before retiring to stud. Offspring of Bellissimo M are always popular for their exceptional temperaments and ride-ability.

His mother is by the BWBS Champion Stallion Wild Dice Bewes and offers another dose of excellent temperament, paired with expressive and balanced movement.

We feel Biscuit would excel as a teenager or small ladies horse due to his petite size but do not be put off as he sure has a lot of talent for a small horse. He is currently standing at 15/15.1 but could mature. His rider in the pictures is 5ft 7 and she doesn't look big on him by any means.

Easy to do in all ways, no vices. Up to date with vaccines, teeth, farrier.

Price will increase as he gains more experience and starts going to competitions however the home is important to us and we would love to follow his progress as he is such a nice character to have on the yard.

This lovely little horse would be ideal for a teenager making the move from ponies to horses Or a really ambitious, amateur want ing to be competitive at the likes of bolesworth amateur classes. 

She has taken her teenage rider from jumping 90cm to jumping 1.20/1.25m with great results and confidence. We feel fleur has done her job for her owner and it is now time for her to do the same for another ambitious rider. 

Fleur  is super careful and has loads of scope, stride and is super quick. 

She is a very clever horse and will go off any stride. She can do the tightest of turns and take a stride out. 

She loves her job and is never spooky at any fence she always has her ears forward looking for the next fence. 

Fleur is a very friendly horse and good to do in always. 

She is a buzzy horse and has plenty of jump so not suitable for a novice rider.
